In an effort to curtail the spread of COVID-19 the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the Maryland Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) have issued guidance on critical infrastructure workers.  This guidance exempts employees of companies that support critical infrastructure to continue to report to work.

 

Serio-US Industries is a manufacturer of steel products, equipment, and supplies that are essential to the day-to-day operations of residential and commercial solid waste and hazardous waste removal operations which has been deemed a critical infrastructure industry under both the CISA and OLC guidance. In particular, the CISA guidance (Memorandum on Identification of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers During COVID-19 Response, dated March 19, 2020) states “If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security,…you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”

 

Accordingly, Serio-us Industries will continue to maintain our normal work schedule in order to manufacture and ship these essential products to you, our customers, while taking appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety or our employees and their families.
